Since 2021 Samuel Gruber has been a lead researcher and project coordinator for a project to inventory Holocausts memorial monuments worldwide and to create with Center for Jewish Art of Hebrew University as part of the Narkiss Index of Jewish art a comprehensive database on the topic. As part of this project Sam has visited and documented hundreds of Holocaust memorials in Argentina, Canada, Czechia, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, the Netherlands, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, the United States.
